How to Use a French Press

Before you begin your coffee brew, rinse the French Press with hot water and pour out excess water.

Add your coffee into the French Press. I use 28g (approx 5 to 6 1/2 tsp) of coffee to 480g (a little over 2 cups) of water.

Yes, you'll need a timer for the next few steps. Trust me, this will create a great cup of coffee.

Min

0:00 - Begin by pouring approximately 1 cup of water into the French Press.

1:00 - Pour in the remaining water

2:00 - Stir the coffee and water mixture to incorporate any floating coffee.

3:00 - Fit plunger into place; press the filter down 1/4" below water surface to fully submerge

coffee.

4:00 - Plunge filter down steadily over a 15 second period.

4:15 - Pour coffee into serving vessel and enjoy!
