A Quick Word About Coffee Prices
Coffee has always been a bit of a traveler.
Long before it ends up steaming in your favorite mug, it has crossed mountains, oceans, borders, warehouses, ports, and more than a few bureaucratic headaches to get here. Lately, those journeys have become a little more expensive.
The cost of green coffee—the raw beans we roast fresh for every order—has climbed sharply due to tariffs, supply chain pressures, and rising import costs around the world. It's the kind of thing most people never see, but it affects every bag of coffee that makes its way from a farm thousands of miles away to our roaster here in Texas.
We've held the line as long as we could. We've trimmed where it made sense, tightened our belts, and absorbed as much of the increase as possible. But there's one thing we refuse to do: cut corners on quality.
We won't buy cheaper beans. We won't rush the roast. And we won't compromise the coffee that carries our name.
So yes, you'll notice a small adjustment in pricing. Not because we wanted to raise prices, but because we want to keep doing things the right way—roasting fresh, sourcing quality coffee, and delivering a cup worth looking forward to every morning.
If you've chosen One Mean Coffee Bean, thank you. You're not supporting a giant corporation or a boardroom full of investors. You're supporting a small Texas roaster that still believes craftsmanship matters, good coffee is worth the effort, and life is better when you slow down long enough to enjoy both.
We appreciate every order, every recommendation, and every bag that finds its way into your kitchen, campsite, front porch, or favorite fishing spot.
Thanks for riding along with us.

Truly Great Coffee

You can learn a surprising amount about a person by the coffee they choose to drink.
Some people settle for whatever happens to be sitting on a fluorescent grocery store shelf—coffee that was roasted months ago, shipped halfway across the country, and left to slowly surrender whatever character it once had. It gets the job done, sure. So does eating dinner from a gas station. But life's too short for both.
We believe coffee should have a story. It should have character. It should smell like something worth getting out of bed for. It should remind you that somebody, somewhere, cared enough to do it right.
That's why we roast in small batches and ship fresh. And it's also why we don't grind our coffee before it leaves our hands.
The moment coffee is ground, the clock starts ticking. The aromas escape. The flavors begin to fade. What was once vibrant and complex slowly becomes just another cup of coffee. We'd rather hand you the keys and let you experience it at its best.
A good grinder isn't an accessory—it's part of the ritual. The few extra moments it takes are rewarded with a richer aroma, deeper flavor, and a cup that tastes the way the roaster intended.
So go ahead. Grind it fresh. Brew it slow. Sit on the porch. Watch the sunrise. Ignore your phone for a few minutes.
Taste what coffee is supposed to be.
We think you'll notice the difference.
